Entries Open – Royal National Park 202017th February 2020
Entries are now open for Race #3 at Royal National Park NSW on Saturday 20th June 2020.
Racing at the historical Royal National Park will be fast and furious. The most popular leg of the series, it is easy to see why when you consider the location so close to the heart of Sydney and the flowing single track mountain biking. There’s is no excuse for missing this one!
Short, fast and fun teams will have to change between three core disciplines several times during the event including mountain biking, running and kayaking. The race could take between two to six hours to complete but trust us, you’ll never have time to be bored as you’ll constantly be challenged both physically and mentally!
The Classic course consist of 15-25km of mountain biking, 5-10km of trail running and 2-4km of kayaking. The Novice (beginner) course consist of 5-15km of mountain biking, 3-5km of trail running and 1-2km of kayaking. NB: There are multiple legs of each discipline, which add up to this total distance.
All participants will need to supply their own mountain bike (two per team) but they are also available for hire if you’re in need. Click here for more information. The kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices (PFD’s) are also supplied and included in your entry fee.
Each event will require some basic navigation skills, although if you can read a street directory, you will be able to complete the course! All checkpoints can be reached by following tracks and paths, however occasionally it maybe faster to go cross-country.
