the course
The Blue Mountains leg of the series is the final event of the year and the most adventurous. Teams will venture into the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park, using purpose built single track mountain biking trails and paddling on the Nepean River.
One year you could be heading down the majestic Glenbrook Gorge, rock hopping along the creek. The next year visiting mesmerising layers of hand prints and stencils in one of the best examples of Aboriginal art in the Blue Mountains.
The Glenbrook location is an easy drive from Sydney, only a few kilometres off the end of the M4 motorway making it easily accessible. The Start/Finish location of Euroka Clearing is a lovely spot, with wide picnic areas and kangaroos grazing in the sunshine. Classic and Novice course options are all available – so bring the whole family for a day of adventure!
The Classic Course includes approximately 15-25km of mountain biking, 7-12km of trail running and 2-4km of kayaking and will take most teams 4-6 hours to complete.
The Novice Course consists of approximately 10-15km of mountain biking, 3-5km of trail running and 1-2km of kayaking. Novice teams generally finish in 2-4 hours.
We’ve got you covered with kayaks provided for all courses and bike hire available if required.
Race Schedule
