The first event in the 2021 Maximum Adventure Series kicks off in just 5 weeks on Saturday 13th February and presents the perfect opportunity to start the new year with a bang.
Sponsored by Lake Macquarie City Council, this year the course heads back to the Lake side and is shaping up to be some of the most fun you’ll have, all only a few hours North of Sydney at Cams Wharf!
The racing will be tight in the Classic course with numerous twisty, narrow trails to keep you on your toes with the navigation. The flat course this year means you can really keep the throttle open as you race alongside serene Lake Macquarie. Speaking of the lake, it’s flat, calm waters are perfect for the kayak leg and to cool off in post-event!
Not ready for the longer Classic course yet? The shorter and less technical Novice course option (with an easier navigation component) is still available for teams new to the sport and looking to give a race a try. Kayaks are provided and bike hire is available.
With race day fast approaching now is the time to enter. You’ll save yourself some cash by entering before the price rise next week. Enter before midnight Wednesday 13th January and you will save yourself $20 per team.
Not sure if you’re ready for an adventure race? You’re in luck! We’re running an Adventure Racing Clinic on Saturday 6th February just for you. This training day will be jam packed with all the bike, run, kayak, navigation and nutrition tips and tricks to help you turn up to the race feeling fully prepared and ready to make your mark with your teammate. Hurry though, spots are limited.
So there’s no reason not to grab a mate and get yourself ready for an action packed adventure! Hurry though, the event is already 80% full!
