Royal National Park – Last Minute Race Information

The Maximum Adventure Race in the Royal National Park is nearly here! The course is set and waiting for you this weekend.

The updated Event Program is available on the link below with information on both the Classic and Novice course races. This important document has all the information you need about the race including the event schedule, location, different bike drop locations, parking, registration rules and gear required plus remaining COVID-19 changes for this year.

Please be aware that there won’t be a coffee van at the event this year but there is the Audley Dance Hall Café on your way to the start line, open from 8.00am-4.30pm. Alternatively, you might want to grab a coffee on you way into the national park. Also note that for the Springwood Lions Club BBQ, EFT payments can not be accepted due to no phone reception, so please bring cash only. Finally in regards to paying the NPWS entry fee, if the park entry booth isn’t open when you arrive, you will need to pay at the machines down at Audley and these are cash only. To pay by card you will need to do so at the Audley Visitor Centre.

This year we are presenting the Event Safety Briefing, for both Classic & Novice teams, to you via video link below instead of in person at the race start. Please ensure you watch this video prior to attending. The Novice Training & Tips Session will however be conducted at the race from 9.15am to 9.45am. Novice registration will therefore close at 9.15am. Please ensure you come to this session ready to race.

As noted in the Event Program, you will collect your team race bag from registration prior to your race start. In order to do this you will need to check your team name and associated team number on the Team List. This list also shows your teams specific Wave Start Time. View Team List via the link below.

Participants who have not signed the Event Waiver will not be allowed to collect their team race bag or permitted to race. Therefore we suggest you do this online through your Active.com MyEvents portal by COB Friday 28th May. Those participants who do not sign the event waiver online prior to the event must attend registration on race day to complete the event waiver before you will be allowed to collect your race bag.

Teams are also encouraged to download the COVID Safe App to your phone and to have that active during the event. The COVID Safe App is available in the App Store and via Google Play.
